- The official monthly P10 of CHF 4,635, median of CHF 7,024 and P90 of CHF 12,526 are multiplied by twelve. The dashboard therefore shows CHF 55,620–150,312 with CHF 84,288 as the median comparison value.
- Coverage and limits
- Standardised gross monthly wages for a full-time position across the private and public sectors. The range is P10–P90, not a quartile range or graduate starting-salary forecast.
Central annual salary benchmark

- Method
- The calculation key named average_annual_salary stores the annualised national median of CHF 84,288 because the FSO release publishes the median as its central national salary indicator. No unsupported mean is inferred.
- Coverage and limits
- This is explicitly a median benchmark retained under a shared calculation key. It must not be described as an arithmetic mean.
Student living-cost planning range
Università della Svizzera italiana and EPFL
- Method
- The lower value uses USI's CHF 1,300 monthly planning floor for Lugano or Mendrisio. The upper value uses EPFL's approximately CHF 2,300 monthly budget around the Lausanne campus.
- Coverage and limits
- One student, tuition excluded. These are regional planning scenarios rather than a national average; housing, insurance and lifestyle cause substantial variation.
Representative public-university tuition
University of Geneva and Università della Svizzera italiana
- Method
- The representative annual range uses the University of Geneva's CHF 500 semester fee and USI's CHF 4,000 semester fee, annualised over two semesters to CHF 1,000–8,000.
- Coverage and limits
- Representative general bachelor and master fees. Application charges, compulsory ancillary fees, scholarships and specialist private programmes are excluded; this is not claimed as an absolute national minimum or maximum.
Minimum-wage treatment

- Switzerland has no single national statutory minimum wage. The evidence layer stores a null amount rather than converting cantonal or sector-specific rates into a false national figure.
- Coverage and limits
- Mandatory rates can arise from cantonal law, generally binding collective agreements or standard employment contracts and differ by place, sector and occupation.
